#Features and Improvements
#Improved Stability
This release includes the following changes which should improve stability, particularly when switching to / from TTY and on monitor change events:#Improved Labwc Integration: Sloppy window focus mode

#Improved Brightness Control
Our brightness handling has been reworked in Budgie 10.10.1 to no longer leverage GNOME Settings Daemon. Brightness management is now handled by our ownbudgie-brightness-helper, which manipulates brightness values through the common /sys/class/backlight interface.
The keybinds we define in our vendor labwc rc.xml for the XF86MonBrightnessUp and XF86MonBrightnessDown keys have been updated. If you haven't changed the copied rc.xml, you can simply delete it from ~/.config/budgie-desktop/labwc and we will automatically create a new one the next time you login. Alternatively, simply update the keybinds with the following commands:
budgie-brightness-helper --upbudgie-brightness-helper --down#Improved Wallpaper / Background scaling
Budgie 10.10 shipped withswaybg calls set to fill to avoid backgrounds getting skewed if they have a different aspect ratio than the respective output (display).
Now, we will check the preferred placement mode / "style" defined from GnomeBG, mapping various "styles" to swaybg modes. We have made this configurable via the Background panel of Budgie Control Center.
#Bug Fixes and the Smaller Things
It wouldn't be a minor release if we didn't squash some bugs and do some small tweaks:Meta / Super key, however please note that the reliability of this behavior (changes to the requested layer) may vary depending on the compositor usedWAYLAND_DISPLAY and XDG_RUNTIME_DIR.greetdlibgnome-volume-control for mixer fixesDid you know that you can financially support the Buddies of Budgie project?
